How to Wear Pink Makeup on Your Eyes, Cheeks, and Lips at the Same Time

Monochromatic pink makeup–worn on eyes, cheeks, and lips–has been all over the runways at Gucci, Dior, Miu Miu, Valentino and more for several seasons, but it’s still rare to see people wearing the trend in their everyday lives. The key to translating the look from the runway, explains makeup artist Benjamin Puckey, is to use multiple products. “It’s important to make sure that you have differences in texture,” he says. With matte shades all over, “it will become very flat.” Instead Puckey suggests mixing a gloss on the lids and lips, with a satin finish on the cheek. And it’s important to find the right shade of pink for your skin tone: the makeup artist recommends a lighter shade for pale skin and bolder hue for darker skin. Once you have your color, Puckey suggests starting slow with a hint of pink in the daytime, and using a heavier hand at night. “You can make it as finished or as raw as you like,” he adds. Here, the best pinks to play with.
